Physician Assistant

Sincera Urgent Care, a private provider-owned urgent care center in Pella, Iowa, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate physician assistant to join our caring and highly rated healthcare team. This is an on-site role located in Pella, IA. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support providers and will go above and beyond to meet and exceed patient expectations and will work with an amazing and talented group of healthcare professionals.

Job Summary:

The Provider will deliver high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, managing a wide range of urgent and non-urgent health issues. The ideal candidate will have excellent clinical skills, a patient-centered approach, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and physical examinations.

  • Diagnose and treat a variety of acute and chronic conditions, injuries, and illnesses.

  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and imaging studies.

  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including prescribing medications and other therapies.

  • Perform minor procedures, including suturing, splinting, and wound care.

  • Provide patient education on health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment plans.

  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using electronic health records (EHR).

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education to stay current with best practices in urgent care medicine.

  • Ensure patient confidentiality and adhere to all HIPAA guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Physician Assistant (PA)with a current license to practice in Iowa

  • Board Certified

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.

  • Strong clinical skills and the ability to perform a wide range of procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in an urgent care setting.

  • Additional certifications relevant to urgent care (e.g., PALS, ATLS).

  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Part-Time or Full-time position with variable shifts, including evenings and weekends

  • At times a fast-paced urgent care environment.

  • Physical demands include standing for long periods, walking, and handling medical equipment.
